Tom Tvedten, M.D.
Medical Director
Prior to joining Little Rock Family Planning Services in January
2004, Dr. Tvedten has been an abortion provider in Arkansas since
1985. His undergraduate education was completed at Louisiana State
University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and the University of Arkansas,
Little Rock. He attended medical school at the University of Arkansas
for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and graduated in 1977. He completed
his post graduate training at St. Vincent's Hospital in 1978. Dr.
Tvedten practiced Family Practice and Obstetrics and Gynecology in
Lake Village Arkansas. He was the Chief of Staff at Chicot Memorial
Hospital in Lake Village Arkansas from 1978 to 1995.
Lori, MSN|APN
Clinical Director
Lori became the Clinical Director of Little Rock Family Planning Services in February 2007, but previously served as Associate Clinical Director beginning in 2004. She also currently practices
as a Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner for Little Rock Family
Planning Services Gynecology clinic. Previously, she was the Nursing
Supervisor at Women's Community Health Center in Little Rock from
2000 to 2004. She supervised the medical staff of the abortion clinic
as well as practicing as the clinic's Nurse Practitioner for the
Women's Health/Gynecology services. She has a Bachelor of Science
in Nursing from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and attended
the graduate program at Vanderbilt University where she received
her Masters of Science in Nursing and Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner
specialty training.
Jerry Edwards, M.D.
Associate Physician
Dr Edwards is a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. He was
Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Houston (1991-8) and is
a Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Arkansas Medical
School, Little Rock Arkansas.
Dr. Edwards has received recognition for his work in abortion technology;
especially in the development of techniques to perform abortion before
six weeks gestation. He served on the National Medical Committee
of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and is a former Board Member
of the National Abortion Federation.

Little Rock Family Planning Services is a modern, free standing, out-patient surgical center. We provide abortion care to a wide geographical area. Currently, we are the only licensed abortion clinic in the state of Arkansas.
We have a team of very experienced physicians that are all medical doctors, and are all licensed by the state of Arkansas. Tom Tvedten, MD, our Medical Director has been providing abortion care in Arkansas for over 25 years.
Our clinic has a well-deserved reputation for quality patient care and surgical excellence. We are inspected annually by the Arkansas Department of Health, and we meet or exceed all standards set by the state. We are also a member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), the organization that sets national standards for abortion care.
Our clinical staff model utilizes a team approach to provide the best possible care for each patient, enhance by an attitude of warmth, respect, and complete confidentiality.
