LevoCept study - birth control clinical study

LevoCept – IUD Study

Type: Intrauterine Device
Status: Not yet recruiting

This clinical study will involve more than 1,500 women and will help determine the effectiveness of LevoCept in preventing pregnancy.

Qualified Participants Must:

  • Pre-menopausal woman up to 45 years old
  • Currently in a mutually monogamous relationship of at least 3 months
  • Sexually active with a male partner who has not had a vasectomy or other known fertility problems
  • Have a history of regular menstrual cycles
  • Agree to use LevoCept as your only form of birth control

VeraCept contraceptive = hormone-free, low-dose copper, and fleixble investigational IUD.

VeraCept – IUD Study

Type: Intrauterine Device
Status: Active Not Recruiting

The VeraCept Study is evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational hormone-free intrauterine device (IUD), called VeraCept, designed to prevent pregnancy.

Qualified Participants Must:

  • 18 or older
  • Are in a steady relationship
  • Have a history of regular menstrual cycles, and are in good general health
  • Agree to use VeraCept as your only form of birth control

  • Study-related laboratory test

OASIS 1 – Vasomotor Symptoms

Type: Hot Flashes
Status: Completed

The OASIS program is composed of three research studies investigating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational oral, non-hormonal medication for hot flashes associated with menopause.

Qualified Participants Must:

  • Are you a woman between the ages of 40 to 65
  • Have not had a menstrual period for at least 6 months
  • Experience hot flashes associated with menopause and are seeking an alternative option to treat your symptoms.

  • Study-related laboratory test

VeraCept contraceptive = hormone-free, low-dose copper, and fleixble investigational IUD.

Fibroids – Heavy Menstrual Bleeding due to Uterine Fibroid

Status: Completed

Research study to evaluate whether an investigational medicine could reduce the amount of heavy menstrual bleeding due to uterine fibroids.

Qualified Participants Must:

  • Are 18 to 50 years of age
  • Have monthly menstrual periods
  • Experience heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids
  • Have days when their feminine products (pads, tampons, liners) become soaked and need to be changed more than 3 times a day
  • Additional requirements apply

Contraception – Birth Control Pill Study

Status: Completed

Study testing an investigational birth control pill.

Qualified Participants Must:

  • A healthy, sexually active female aged 13-45 years
  • Seeking birth control to prevent pregnancy
  • Willing to use an oral birth control pill daily for about 12 months
  • Willing and able to complete an eDiary daily for about 12 months
  • Willing and able to have a phone call at least once a month with clinic staff to discuss any changes to your health and eDiary completion.
  • Willing to complete 9 visits to the clinic in about 14 months
